What did you do this past week?
This past week, I finished up my remaining tasks for Phase 3. I had a couple other assignments in my other classes, but none of them were major assignments. I took a little bit of time to relax as well, since I had some time. I also had dinner with a couple friends that I didn’t see for a while. I went back home for Thanksgiving break as well.
What’s in your way?
As of right now, there is nothing really in my way. Thanksgiving break is this week, so I will probably not be spending too much time on college work.
What will you do next week?
I won’t be doing too much this week in terms of college. I will probably get started on the front end customer issues for SWE. I will begin to prepare for my exams after the break. Other than that, I will be spending time with my family and friends. I will also take some time to unwind before my final exams start.
If you read it, what did you think of the Paper #13: Why Extends Is Evil?
I did read this paper. I thought that it was an interesting paper. It raises good points against the usage of inheritance that I did not think about. I will definitely consider these points whenever I work in industry. It also mentioned a memory problem about Stack that I was not even aware of.
What was your experience of SQL? (this question will vary, week to week)
I do not have too much experience with SQL besides this class. I do appreciate that Professor Downing is covering this material. This is good introductory material for SQL. The joins covered in class do feel very useful and versatile.
What made you happy this week?
I had dinner with some of my friends who I have not seen in a while. Some of them are graduating, so it may be one of the last times I see them. They may be going to other states for full time positions, so no one really knows when our paths may cross.

My pick of the week is https://www.tutorialspoint.com/sql/index.htm. This is a website that has a lot of information about SQL. If you want to deepen your knowledge over SQL, then this is a great website to do so. It has a section for introductory material as well as a section for more advanced concepts.
