What did you do this past week?
This past week I worked on an assignment in my Neural Networks class. I struggled with this assignment slightly because it used some tools that I did not have a lot of experience with. However, I was able to successfully finish the project. I also did some Hackerranks for companies that I applied for.

What’s in your way?
I am still procrastinating a little bit on my assignments. Luckily, I have been able to finish them all without too much worries, but I should definitely focus on finishing them as soon as I can.

What will you do next week?
Next week, I do not have many major assignments due in any class. I will be doing some last minute Hackerranks for a couple companies. I will probably relax a little this week and focus on my hobbies such as playing the piano and drawing.

If you read it, what did you think of the Paper #4: What Happens to Us?
I was honestly shocked by the stories that were present in the paper. I am aware that situations like these do exist in the real world, but I am shocked that people act horribly towards their fellow collegues. I do think that there should be more preventive measures in order to avoid situations like this. Also, there should be actions taken against people who display such terrible behavior.

What was your experience of Collatz, exceptions, and types? (this question will vary, week to week)
I worked on Collatz in Object-Oriented Programming last semester. Even though these projects were in different languages, some of the concepts prevalent in that project applied to this one.
I have used exceptions during my internship this past summer, but it was in Java. I did not have much knowledge about exceptions in Python, but I think I gained a good understanding of it in this past week.
I understand some of the types in Python as I took Artificial Intelligence this previous semester which was taught in Python. However, we did not go into the deep details in that class, so it was good to learn about it now.

What made you happy this week?
I had dinner with a couple of my friends this past week. Although I had already caught up with them, it was still nice to take a break from the assignments that I was stressed out about. I had a lot of fun with them.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?
My tip of the week is to take a break whenever you are stuck on a tricky bug whenever you are coding. It is not good for your mind if you just stare and get frustrated at the bug for hours. Taking a break can relax you and it is just simply good for you. You may end up solving your bugs after a well-deserved break.
